T-Mobile are spending millions in a fresh advertising campaign claiming, in a nut-shell, that “you can’t get more minutes for £30″ with them. This might be true at the £30 per month level but not at the £20 per month level were you can get so much more!!!

The mobile network “Three” has lodged an official complaint with uk advertising officialdom having pointed out that they have a tariff costing £27 per month which includes way more minutes & texts, a whopping 1100 to be precise. Moreover, this tariff is further discounted to £20 for certain models but the customer still gets the 1100 minutes/texts included. These tariffs are not just direct from Three but available via the indirect channels too.

At the very least T-Mobile’s claim has to be described as misleading and the advertising authority are sure to uphold Three’s complaint. Three could easily have increased their £27 tariff by £3 to render the T-Mobile campaign dead before it even started but they haven’t which is good news for joe public.

A spokesman for T-Mobile said: ‘As far as I am aware we have not yet received any formal correspondence from the Advertising Standards Authority regarding our price guarantee offer.

‘Until such time as we do hear anything, it would not be appropriate for us to comment.’

How ever many millions T-Mobile have pledged to their new campaign lets hope they’ve set aside a few pennies for the  re-worded relaunch!
