Hot on the heals of the much anticipated HTC Touch Diamond (AVAILABLE NOW at UKPhoneShop) comes the HTC Touch Pro, essentially a slightly thicker version of the Diamond due to the addition of a slide out qwerty keyboard.

With HTC’s vibrant touch-responsive user interface, TouchFLO™ 3D, and ultra-fast HSDPA internet connectivity… the HTC Touch Diamond & Touch Pro will offer an online experience to rival a notebook computer, allowing you to interact with Google, YouTube, and Wikipedia as freely as you would with a broadband connection.
The Touch Pro obviously targets the business/power user requiring a physical keyboard for easier text entry in case the virtual keyboard available on both devices is not convenient for heavy usage. On T-Mobile the obvious name/rebrand has surely to be the MDA Vario IV, a more than worthy successor the very popular MDA Vario III.
Both devices boast a 2.8-inch touch screen, with four times the pixels of most phones to provide a serious challenge the I-Phone’s superb clarity.
The Touch Pro also includes a video-out port so people can hook the device up to a larger screen or television and project a bigger image, a boon for activities such as giving presentations in or even away from the office.
Even prior to the release of the Diamond & Pro, HTC has shown year-on-year growth of 30%+ and with the addition of these models that can only accelerate further. Both devices are set to be available on all the major European networks this summer and after network subsidy should be very affordable, this is what will set them apart from the IPhone in these tough financial times.
