Samsung Mobile wants to increase their share of the mobile phone accessory market in the UK. Their UK director has agreed provisional terms with two new independent mobile phone distributors. The temporary deals also cover the distribution of sim free Samsung mobile phones. Last year Samsung sold 6 million mobile phones into the UK market place and in 2007 they want to increase this to 7 million.
In the past Samsung have had a tremendous success record with the growth of their penetration of the UK mobile phone market place but they have not matched this success with their good track record for selling mobile phone accessories.
They now realise, with the continued focus on safe driving whilst using a mobile phone together with the looming new legislation which will include 3 penalty points for committing the above offence, that they must broaden their mobile phone accessory range and their penetration into the UK market place.
In the past Samsung only had one distributor in the UK and they hope that by appointing two more that it will increase the focus on their simfree mobile phones and mobile phone accessories.
Both the two new distributors have assured Samsung Mobile that they will take full advantage of what they see as a great opportunity in a very dynamic market place, this should be good news for the many millions of Samsung mobile phone users in the UK.
