Samsung Mobile the Korean based leading mobile phone manufacturer must have been incensed at the end of the Carling Cup; they have invested a reputed £10 million pound into the sponsorship of the Chelsea Football Club shirts.Imagine the world wide sponsorship coup of having pictures of Frank Lampard (standing in as captain) for the injured John Terry holding the cup aloft wearing his football shirt bearing the Samsung Mobile logo being beamed on television screens to hundreds of millions of viewers.

It was not to be, it would appear that Chelsea Football Club have a tradition of changing their shirts before any presentation ceremony into shirts without sponsors logo’s!! Did Samsung Mobile know of this tradition before they invested the £10 million??? It will be interesting to see what happens if Chelsea win any more trophies this season.
