Vodafone and HTC have finally revealed its second Android phone the G2 labeled “Vodafone Magic”. The phone will be available later today on Vodafone’s website.
The HTC Magic phone is a tablet-style device and is only the second device to run Android, Google’s operating system, after the HTC G1, which T-Mobile is selling in the UK. HTC, Google and Vodafone are all part of the Open Handset Alliance, a open source alliance which is building open standards for mobile phones
Fans on the G1 will find it looks the same however missing the Keyboard. The lack of a keyboard means it’s lighter – From 17mm thick to 13.65mm.
- built-in GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth,3.2in with 320×480 and a 3.2MP camera.
The new handset is exclusive to Vodafone in the UK, Spain, Germany and France and available on a non-exclusive basis in Italy. Customers can ensure that they are the first to receive information about the HTC Magic’s availability, pricing and pre-ordering by registering their interest via their local Vodafone website from today.
We’ll have some more information, pics and a hands-on soon from the Mobile World Congress 2009.
