From Monday 4th February Vodafone, the world’s largest mobile phone network is to slash the cost of accessing their mobile broadband services.Vodafone are targeting potential customers that are using laptops every day to access the internet. Now that Vodafone’s new 3G services can give download speeds of 7.2 Mbps per second and their USB Modems and new USB modem stick no longer need a power point, Vodafone believe that by offering monthly access for only £15 and giving 3GB of access the demand will be tremendous.
Customers that want to use their laptops whilst outside the UK for limited periods of time do not have to sign a contract but can pay £9.99 for a 24 hour period of access. Again for customers that do not want to make the commitment to a monthly contract, Vodafone are going to make a 30 day period of access available for a payment of only £20.
Business customers and people that are happy to sign up to a Vodafone monthly contract will still have access to tariffs that will give them greater value for money via free periods of monthly access and higher usage bundles.
